Have you read or seen the movie, “Are you there God? it’s me, Margaret”…. it weaves together the three phases you mentioned in a beautiful way.
The motherly figures in my life who are now empty nesters and even retiring are still so full of ambition for what’s next but in a much more wise and peaceful and content way. It’s been a good reminder that we will continue to have many seasons, and likely many forms of work and careers.
Great post. Appreciate the wisdom and humility in this. Reads like someone who’s been a mother for a long time. Well done! And good luck. Being a parent is no-joke hard!!
Love this, Claire <3 I've been thinking a lot about that shift from maiden to mother. Whether or not you have a biological child, it's a doozy. Appreciate your perspective on your changes.
"This is my peak and I know it is fleeting." wow
This is so good Claire! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I relate to so much of this.

You know I never did but I know so many people love that book. I should! Especially having a daughter now

So true Liv. I think this transition started long before I actually gave birth, this is just what made me notice it distinctly. Yes, doozy it is!
